French stock market index up 1 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.00 percent at 5,087.49 points on Friday, up 50.31 points.

The CAC 40 closed with 32 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance, while Pernod Ricard stayed the same as previous trading day.

Friday's top three gainers were Total, up 2.50 percent, Solvay, up 2.26 percent, and AXA, up 2.14 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Friday were Alcatel-Lucent, down 2.01 percent, Safran, down 0.97 percent, and Valeo, down 0.61 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with an advance of 0.07 percent at 5,037.18 points, up 3.76 points. Endit
