Fourth man arrested after Copenhagen attacks

Xinhua, March 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Danish police arrested a fourth man Thursday for being involved in Copenhagen shootings in mid-February.

The suspect is charged with involvement in the twin shootings that led to the deaths of two men in Copenhagen, according to the police.

The arrest has happened in connection with a large-scale operation Tuesday where police searched eight Copenhagen apartments for new leads to the attacks.

The police however did not disclose more information about the recent arrest.

Three other people have already been in custody in the case for having assisted the alleged perpetrator Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein.

The shooting attacks by Hamid El-Hussein against a debate event in front of a cultural center on February 14 and at a synagogue on February 15 left two people dead. The gunman himself was shot dead by police later in the day.

The fourth man being arrested will attend a preliminary hearing on Friday. Enditem
