Nigeria to soon decide fate of Super Eagles coach Keshi: official

Xinhua, March 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria will soon decide whether or not Stephen Keshi, coach of the senior national football team, will continue his coaching job with the team, an official said Wednesday.

Keshi will know his fate later this week, said Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigeria Football Federation, in a chat with reporters in the Nigerian capital Abuja.

The official said he had assured the Nigerian Senate that the football federation will announce its decision on Keshi, whose fate as coach of the team still hangs in the balance.

Keshi, who led Nigeria to victory at the 2013 continental cup, had been without a contract after his team crashed out of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil last July.

Pinnick said the Nigerian federation hoped Keshi would be satisfied with the terms and condition it presented to him for consideration in a new contract. Endi
