Nigeria reports Bolivia to FIFA over match cancellation

Xinhua, March 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria has reported Bolivia to world football governing body FIFA, following a cancellation of an international friendly match slated for next week in the West African country, an official said.

Nigeria is alleging a breach of contract, said Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigerian Football Federation, who confirmed FIFA has received its heavily worded letter and has informed the Bolivia Football Federation of the implications of its unilateral decision to cancel the match.

The Nigerian football official told the local Complete Sports newspaper the federation has commenced shopping for a replacement for Bolivia.

He, however, did not give a clue about the country that is likely to be invited to play against the Nigerian senior national team but assured that the match will be played on March 26. Endi
