Bulgarian government on Wednesday approved a draft intergovernmental agreement between Bulgaria and the United States to exchange passenger information in a bid to improve the fight against terrorism, an official statement said.

According to the Government Information Service (GIS), the agreement will establish a framework by which the two countries will use their respective methodologies, applications and data on border screening and screening for terrorists to identify particular individuals engaged in international trips who may pose a risk. MOSCOW -- Russia may discuss natural gas discount for Ukraine after the expiry of the "winter package," Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday.

"When it comes to the discount, it is provided by the Russian government. This is our good will," Medvedev said at a meeting with Alexei Miller, head of Russian gas giant Gazprom. (Ukraine-Russia-Gas)

TBILISI, Georgia -- The Georgian Defense Ministry on Wednesday announced that it will carry out a joint military drill with the U.S. Army in May, the first of its kind on Georgian territory.

The drill, slated for May 1-25, is aimed at building closer ties between Georgian battalions and the NATO Response Force and preparing for NATO operations and exercises in the future, according to a Defense Ministry statement. (Georgia-US-Drill)

COPENHAGEN -- Three people were arrested on Wednesday after the shooting incident at a shopping center in Copenhagen which left three injured, police said.
