NE Asian experts call for closer regional energy cooperation

Energy experts from six countries on Wednesday concluded their two-day conference with a declaration on promoting economic and energy cooperation in Northeast Asia.

Participants called for closer economic and energy cooperation in the region via collaboration between regional energy research institutes and experts.

In their declaration, they also expressed their willingness to regularly organize meetings of energy experts and regularize collaboration of the research organizations.

The conference brought together energy experts and scientists from China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Russia and South Korea, as well as from such international organizations as the Asian Development Bank and the International Energy Agency. Endi
