Britain's Prince Harry to pay first visit to New Zealand

Britain's Prince Harry is to pay his first visit to New Zealand in May, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key said on Tuesday.

Prince Harry, formally known as Prince Henry of Wales, is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the head of state of New Zealand.

Harry would visit New Zealand after a four-week secondment with the Australian Defence Force, Key said in a statement.

"This is Prince Harry's first visit to New Zealand and we are very keen to show him as much of the country as possible," said Key.

The visit was still in the planning stage and further details on dates and regions to be visited would be released closer to his arrival. Endi
