Nigeria recalls foreign-based players ahead of All Africa Games qualifier

Xinhua, March 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria has given a Tuesday deadline to some of the U23 soccer players plying their trade abroad to arrive camp ahead of next Sunday's All Africa Games qualifier against Zambia at the Abuja National Stadium.

Team coach Samson Siasia told reporters that members of the U23 who violate the order risk not participating in the encounter.

According to the coach, the Nigerian U23 team will leave no chances to the visiting team, hence the need for all players to be fit for the match and give their best during the match.

"We want to do our best to prepare for the match. It is a home match and preparing well will definitely help us to win," said Siasia.

Nigeria had earlier played against Gabon in the All Africa Games qualifier. Endi
