Ohio river to remain above flood stage

The flooding in Ohio river in east United States is expected for most of this week after the river reached its highest level in two decades, weather forecasters said Monday.
The river reduced from Sunday's 57.7 feet to 57.1 feet on Monday, the National Weather Service said, and it will remain above flood stage for most of the week.
Several homes were reportedly being flooded in the village of New Richmond, some 20 miles southeast of Cincinnati.
The influx of rainwater paired with melting snow has caused ice jams, road closures, putting lives and property at risk. The river crested in Cincinnati at the highest level since 1997.
Forecasters believe that the river will be above the 52-foot flood stage until late Thursday night. Endite
