Vietnam's auto sales down 38 pct in Feb.

Xinhua, March 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vietnam has sold a total of 12,329 automobile units in February 2015, down 38 percent from the previous month but up 69 percent year-on-year, said the latest report by Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) on Thursday.

Among the sold cars in February, 7,914 were Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units, down 41 percent from January while 4,415 were Complete Build-up (CBU) units, down 32 percent from the same month.

The decreases in February were considered normal as it is an annual routine of Vietnamese auto market, Vietnamese government's e-Portal quoted VAMA as assessing on Thursday.

However, in the first two months, Vietnam witnessed a growth of 76 percent year-on-year in the number of car sales. Endi
