The 32nd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers kicked off here on Wednesday, amid exacerbation of terrorism in the Arab region.

The meeting was marked by the presence of Arab ministers of interior, high-level delegations and representatives of regional and international organizations.

Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Ben Helli said the meeting will discuss proposals related to safeguarding security in the region and fighting against terrorists and extremist groups, including the Islamic State (IS), APS news agency reported on Tuesday.

The Council of Arab Interior Ministers was established in 1982 with the agreement of the Arab League and convenes annually to discuss vital issues in the Arab region. Endit
