Albanian Lek loses ground on euro, dollar

Albanian Lek has lost ground on the main foreign currencies euro and U.S. dollar this week.

Bank of Albania stated on Tuesday that the U.S. dollar continued to strengthen reaching the value of 128.87 lek, or 1.09 lek more than in the end of the last week, and euro marked an increase of 0.04 lek, thus being exchanged at 140.30 lek.

Bank of Albania said that the performance in the domestic market reflects the fluctuations of the international stock exchanges, the offer for foreign currencies dominates the positions of euro and dollar against Lek. Endit
