Germany's benchmark DAX index rises slightly

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday rose slightly by over 30 points.

As the blue-chip index remains at a high level, investors are worried about whether the rally could come to an end, according to analysts. A survey conducted by the German business daily Handelsblatt showed that only 45 percent of the participants are seeing an upward trend. The DAX index rose by 0.27 percent and closed at 11,582.11 points.

Bayer AG led the risers' list, up by 1.8 percent. K+S Aktiengesellschaft, a standard and speciality fertilizers company, advanced by 1.74 percent. ThyssenKrupp AG climbed by 1.16 percent. Volkswagen AG Vz added 1.02 percent and Deutsche Lufthansa AG went up by 0.84 percent.

Deutsche Boerse AG lost 1.03 percent. BMW AG St slipped by 0.82 percent. HeidelbergCement AG slid by 0.72 percent. SAP SE dropped by 0.71 percent and adidas AG went down by 0.69 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.15 billion euros (around 3.42 billion U.S. dollars). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 246.6 million euros. Endit
