Singapore stocks close 0.66 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 22.24 points, or 0.66 percent, to close at 3,417.51.

A total of 1.04 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 13 billion Singapore dollars (824 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 219 to 202, while 511 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 20.26 points, or 0.59 percent, to close at 3, 395.27 on Thursday. Endi
