Chinese man receives death sentence for molesting baby

A man has been sentenced to death with a reprieve for the sexual abuse of a two-and-a half-year-old infant, a local court ruling said Thursday.

The Henan Provincial Higher People's Court found Zhang guilty of molestation and attempted murder for the crime on Sept. 9, 2013.

The case highlighted the safety of children left in the care of the elderly by parents that work in cities, said a court judge. Endi
