Vietnam Women's Football Championship kicks off in HCM City

The Vietnam National Women's Football Championship 2015 kicked off here on Thursday, with participation of seven teams.

They will compete in a two-legged round-robin format, with the first leg of the tournament held here from March 5 to 26, and the second leg from June 21 to July 12 in northern Ha Nam province, according to the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).

Champion of the tournament will walk away with 300 million VND (about 13,980 U.S. dollars) in cash prize, while the runner-up with 200 million VND (about 9,320 U.S. dollars) and the third-place team with 150 million VND (about 6,990 U.S. dollars).

Besides, organizers will present other awards, including Fair-play Team, Best Goalkeeper, Best Player, Top Goal Scorer, and Best referee team.

Organized by VFF, the Vietnam National Women's Football Championship is the most important tournament of this kind in the year. Endi
