Zambian opposition says police surround its leader's house

Zambia's opposition United Party for National Development (UNPD) said the police on early Tuesday surrounded its leader Hakainde Hichilema's house "with a view to arresting him".
Another contingent of heavily armed police officers have surrounded the UNDP's offices, the party said.
The move reportedly followed a directive from Zambian President Edgar, who instructed the police to investigate the opposition leader over claims that he has access to secret files of the country's intelligence wing even before they are handed to the president.
Hichilema told a press briefing last week that "he was in control of the intelligence system in the country." Endi
