China innovation index up 3.1 pct in 2013

The China Innovation Index (CII), barometer of the nation's innovation capability, rose 3.1 percent to 152.8 in 2013, China's statistics authority said Monday.

In April 2013, a National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) research team released the CII results for the first time, covering the 2005 to 2011 period amid the country's push to build an innovation-driven society. Endi
