Malta launches fund for social, infrastructure projects

Malta has launched a 900,000-euro (1 million U.S. dollars) fund to support social and infrastructure projects, President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca said on Saturday.

According to fund-raiser the Malta Community Chest Fund, 700,000 euros will be used for social projects and open for application on Saturday. The rest of the fund will be used to support infrastructure projects and will be opened for application in July.

The Maltese President said the fund would help applicants grow stronger.

According to the President, the fund would also help promote cooperation among industrial groups in the same sector. (1 euro = 1.12 U.S. dollars) Endit
