Cambodia attracted investment projects with a total value of 4 billion U.S. dollars last year, Sok Chenda Sophea, secretary general of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, said Tuesday.

"Domestic investors topped the chart among all investors in Cambodia last year, followed by Chinese, Malaysian and Japanese investors," he told reporters after a meeting with lawmakers in the commission on investment. (Cambodia-Investment)

QALAT, Afghanistan -- Armed men intercepted two buses in Shahjoi district of Afghanistan's Zabul province, kidnapping 30 passengers and taking them to unknown places on Monday, acting provincial governor Mohammad Ashraf Nasiri said Tuesday. "A group of unknown armed men stopped two buses in Shahjoi district of Zabul province Monday afternoon and took 30 commuters to unknown locations," Nasiri told reporters here. (Afghanistan- Kidnap)

HONG KONG -- Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying said on Tuesday that the Individual Visit Scheme for tourists from the Chinese mainland is not expanding and the government is seeking to tighten it up.

Speaking ahead of an Executive Council meeting this morning, Leung said the overall number of mainland tourists visiting Hong Kong during the Lunar New Year was similar to last year, but the number of those came under the visit scheme dropped. (HK-Tourists)

NEW DELHI -- The Indian Parliament was Tuesday adjourned after it witnessed uproar with opposition parties slamming the government over a controversial ordinance to amend the country's land acquisition act.

The pandemonium started when the Indian government introduced a bill to replace the ordinance in Lok Sabha (lower house of Parliament) without a debate, prompting the main opposition Congress party to stage a walkout and forcing the speaker to adjourn the house. (India-Parliament) Endi
