An Indian navy submarine collided with a fishing boat off the coast of Mumbai Sunday evening, damaging the periscope of the warship, said local TV channel Times Now.

The submarine, INS Sindhughosh, suffered minor damages and its crew members were safe, said the TV report.

It is not known if there was any casualty on the fishing boat involved.

The Indian navy reported a series of incidents in the past few years. In August 2013, a submarine exploded at the Mumbai port, killing all 18 crew members onboard. Endi
