Airbus Helicopters construction office opens in Polish city of Lodz

Airbus Helicopters (AH) opened a new construction office in the Polish town of Lodz on Thursday, the Polish Press Agency reported.
The office, a result of long-term cooperation between Airbus Helicopters and Polish universities including University of Technology and Humanities in Radom, and Lodz University of Technology, will hire around 100 engineers.
The opening of the construction office was also marked by the creation of a new Airbus Helicopters Poland company (AHP).
The work of the office in Lodz will mostly focus on modernizing helicopters being produced and working on new breakthrough technologies.
At the opening ceremony, French Ambassador to Poland Pierre Buhler recalled that specialists from the Lodz University of Technology created innovative solutions for ultra-fast hybrid helicopters X3, which broke the world speed record in this category of aircraft.
Airbus Helicopters is the biggest producer of helicopters in the world with a 46 percent share of the global market of both military and commercial helicopters.
Some 12,000 helicopters produced by AH are being used in more than 150 countries. Endit
