Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz discussed here bilateral cooperation, and solidarity of EU and Visegrad Group regarding the Ukrainian issue with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Thursday.

After the meeting, a press conference was held, during which Kopacz said that Poland and Hungary has always been tied by a true friendship. She added that during the whole history, both countries were losing each time when the force was replacing the law in the international policy.

Orban also expressed warm feelings towards Poland, saying that "Poland and Hungary have always been mutually supportive and have always supported freedom." He added that Poland still has a special place in the hearts of Hungarian people.

Orban declared that Hungary supports the agreement reached in Minsk on Feb. 12, concerning the armistice in the Ukraine. "Hungary supports the unity which will be built basing on the Minsk 2 agreement. Poland can count on Hungary in this matter," he added.

Last Tuesday, Orban hosted the visit of the Russian Federation president Vladimir Putin in Budapest. He criticized the European Union's growing distance towards Russia and the sanctions imposed on the country.
