Spanish stock market rises 1 pct, closes at 10,805 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index Ibex-35 rose 1 percent on Wednesday to close at 10,805.30 points, up from the 10,698.00 points of Tuesday.

Gamesa shares led rises climbing 5.13 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Abengoa "B", Banco Sabadell, BBVA and Bankinter that rose 2.97 percent, 2.90 percent, 2.37 percent, 2.05 percent and 2.16 percent respectively.

On the other hand, IAG shares led falls losing 1.15 percent, followed by Gas Natural, R.E.C., Abertis, Iberdrola, Ferrovial and FCC that lost 0.61 percent, 0.44 percent, 0.35 percent, 0.33 percent, 0.22 percent and 0.14 percent respectively.

Spanish risk premium stood at 121.60 points on Wednesday closing time and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.59 percent, both showing no major variations from Tuesday, when the risk premium stood at 122 points and the interest rate on the 10-year bond stood at 1.60 percent. Endit
