Nepal's largest party to elect new party leadership in September

Nepal's largest political party, Nepali Congress, said on Wednesday it has decided to elect new leadership in the its general convention scheduled in the first week of September.

The party elected Sushil Koirala as its chief in 2010 who is currently country's prime minister.

The convention will also decided its plan and policy for the next four years.

There are nearly a half dozen leaders in fray to become the party's president. Senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice- President Ram Chandra Poudel and General Secretary Prakash Man Singh have announced they will run in the election. Endi
