PSG ties Chelsea in Champions League

Xinhua, February 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Edinson Cavani's goal earned Paris Saint-Germain a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the first leg of their last 16 match in the Champions League here on Tuesday.

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic put Chelsea ahead in the 36th minute with a looping header, before Cavani equalized with a downward header in the 54th.

With 10 minutes remaining, Cavani burst into the penalty area and poked the ball just wide.

Thibaut Courtois denied Cavani with a spectacular first-half save and made four other fine stops to give Chelsea an edge for the return leg on March 11. Endi
