Xinhua, February 14, 2015 Adjust font size:

Iran condemned on Saturday the explosions that targeted Shiite Muslims in a mosque in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar.

Iran condemned the terrorist attacks against defenseless people of any ethnicity or religion in Pakistan, which is in contravention of the teachings of Islam and humanitarian values, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Marzieh Afkham, was quoted as saying by Press TV on Saturday.

Afkham extended the country's condolences to the families of the victims.

At least 21 people were killed after several gunmen threw grenades and opened fire on Friday prayers in Peshawar. Over 60 people were also injured in the blasts. Endit
