Singapore stocks close 0.21 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 7.05 points or 0.21 percent to close at 3,426.22.

A total of 1.03 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 21 billion Singapore dollars (896 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 242 to 183, while 511 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 25.4 points or 0.74 percent to close at 3, 419.17 on Thursday. Endit
