Foreign teams arrive in Uganda ahead of CAF competition

Two foreign teams from Madagascar and Cameroon have arrived in Uganda for matches in different competition organized under the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

ASSM Elgeso Plus FC who will face Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club in the first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup on Friday arrived on Wednesday, while Cameroon's Cosmos De Bafia who face KCCA FC in a CAF Champions League tie on Saturday jetted in on Thursday.

Raux Auguste, the head coach of Madagascar told Xinhua in an interview on Thursday that they are ready to for the game after testing the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole which will host the game.

"We have come to Uganda for serious business and we shall show that on the pitch," Auguste said.

URA FC Coach Alex Isabirye said there is no way the visiting team will win in Kampala.

"We are very prepared for them. I expect my senior players like Patrick Ochan, Robert Ssentongo and Said Kyeyune to play big roles for the team," said the Coach.

Ahead of the CAF Champions League match, hosts KCCA FC have also promised to overcome their striking line problem and score some goals.

Coach of the visiting Cameroonian side Cosmos De Bafia, Thomas Libiih told Xinhua in an interview that they will be very cautious against KCCA FC because they do not know much about the team. Libiih played for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon that played at the 1990 World Cup. Endite
