Malaysia's Federal Court on Tuesday upheld a guilty verdict against opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in a sodomy case and maintained a five-year prison sentence imposed by a lower court last year.

A five-member Federal Court bench upheld a verdict by the Court of Appeal which found Anwar guilty. In his appeal, Anwar was asking the Federal Court to set aside the conviction and sentence imposed by the Court of Appeal. (Malaysia-Court-Anwar)

KUNDUZ -- At least five Taliban militants were killed while two policemen sustained injuries Tuesday after gunmen stormed a police station in Kunduz provincial capital the Kunduz city 250 km north of Kabul, a security source said. "One terrorist set off his explosive-laden vehicle near the front gate of the police station compound, leaving himself dead on the spot and four more suicide bombers were shot dead by police after they attempted to enter the police station building following the blast," the security source told Xinhua on anonymous basis. NEW DELHI -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday conceded defeat in Delhi assembly polls after trends clearly showed that the anti-graft Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been heading for a landslide win, decimating the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The AAP, led by 46-year-old former civil servant-turned- politician Arvind Kejriwal, is currently leading in 66 out of 70 assembly seats, while the BJP is leading in just three seats, down from 32 seats in the last elections in December 2013, and the main opposition Congress party failing to get even one seat. SEOUL -- South Korea agreed to return more remains of Chinese soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War after the two countries held working consultations here on Tuesday afternoon, sources from the Chinese Civil Affairs Ministry said.

South Korea handed over to China the remains of 437 Chinese volunteer soldiers killed in the war in March 2014.
