Vietnam to compete at world martial arts competition

Vietnam will send athletes to compete in six events at the First World Martial Arts Council Games to be held in Bangkok of Thailand on March 12-22, reported the local Thanh Nien News daily on Tuesday.

The six events include Muay Boran, Muay Thai, kick-boxing, Pencak Silat, Karatedo and Taekwondo.

Participating Pencak Silat martial artists are from the national team while the rest will be from clubs nationwide.

Other events at the Games include Judo, Jujitsu, Wushu, Sambo, Eskriman and Krabee.

More than 3,000 martial artists from 60 countries and regions are expected to join the competition, said the report. Endi
