Tokyo stocks fall 0.78 pct as Greece concerns mount

Tokyo stocks fell 0.78 percent in the morning session of Tuesday on concerns about the stand-off between Greece and its creditors.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 138.42 points, from Monday to 17,573.51.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange dropped 2.80 points, or 0.20 percent, to 1, 422.12.

Decliners were led by shipping, warehousing and machinery issues. Endi
