Porsche to recall 14,571 cars in China

Xinhua, February 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Porsche China will recall 14,571 vehicles on the Chinese mainland due to faulty camshaft, the national quality watchdog said.

Recalled cars include several imported Panamera models made from Apr. 2009 to Sep. 2011 and two imported Cayenne models made from March 2010 to Sept. 2011, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement posted on its website on Friday.

These cars carry safety hazards as the tap bolt on the camshaft adjuster may loosen or break, according to the statement.

Porsche said it will replace the defective components for free. The recall process is scheduled to start on Apr. 20 this year. Endi
