Indonesian president arrives in Brunei for 2-day state visit

Brunei's Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah held talks in the Palace with visiting Indonesian President Joko Widodo, who arrived here on Saturday for a two-day state visit to the country.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister's office said, the Sultan and President Widodo discussed issues related to the bilateral relations as well as exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual concern.

The Sultan and President Widodo witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the government of Brunei and the government of Indonesia in the field of health.

The ceremony was followed by the second signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Brunei Darussalam National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Prime Minister's office said.

Some 4,000 students lined up along the main road to the main entrance of Istana Nurul Iman (the Palace), waving flags of both countries to welcome the visit of the Indonesian president. Endi
