Zambian president visits Zimbabwe

Zambia's newly elected president Edgar Lungu on Friday arrived in Harare for a courtesy call on Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, who last week took over the one-year rotating chairmanship of the African Union.

Lungu is also due to meet representatives of the Zambian community in Zimbabwe for a luncheon.

Zimbabwe's Secretary for Foreign Affairs Joey Bimha confirmed to Xinhua that a request for a meeting with Mugabe had been received from the Zambian government. Endi
