King Pu-tsung, Taiwan's security chief, resigned on Friday.

King tendered his resignation based on health and family considerations and his resignation has been approved, according to a statement by the office of Taiwan leader Ma Ying-jeou.

King will be replaced by Kao Hua-chu.

The top aide to Ma Ying-jeou, Timothy Yang, has also resigned from his post, the statement said. Yang will be replaced by Tseng Yung-chuan. Endi
