Australian share market opens higher

Xinhua, February 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Australian share market opened 0. 6 percent higher on Friday on an influx of investment from the U.S due to Australia's falling currency.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 34.7 points, or 0.6 percent, at 5,845.7 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 32.7 points, or 0.57 percent, at 5,798.2.

If the benchmark index closes higher at Friday's upcoming close, it will be the 12th straight day of gains, the longest Australian share market rally on record.

The benchmark index has gained more than 10 percent since Jan. 20. Endi
