Pharma company AstraZeneca wins go-ahead for new headquarters in British Cambridge

Work is to start within weeks after global pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca won the go-ahead for a new 60,000 sq meter corporate headquarters and research campus in the university city of Cambridge.

The city council's planning committee has approved the 500 million U.S. dollars center, which will employ more than 2,000 staff and scientists.

The Cambridge site will bring together AstraZeneca's small molecule and biologics research and development activity. Endit
