French stock market slightly changed on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.15 percent to close at 4,703.30 points on Thursday, up 7 points.

The rise in the price of oil contributed to the gain. At the end of the business day, the CAC 40 closed higher with 21 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

Thursday's top three gainers were Technip, up 3.68 percent, Sanofi, up 3.60 percent, and Vinci, up 2.68 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Thursday were BNP Paribas, down 3.69 percent, GDF Suez, down 2.35 percent, and Bouygues, down 1.98 percent.

In the previous trading day, Feb. 4, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.39 percent to close at 4,696.30 points, up 18.40 points. Endit
