Polish President Komorowski announces reelection bid

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski on Thursday announced his reelection bid in upcoming presidential elections in May 2015.

Komorowski told a press conference said he was encouraged apply for the post for a second time due to factors such as a high evaluation of his performance, high level of confidence among Poles, as well as their acceptance of a dialogue and cooperation-based model of presidency as presented by him.

He said serving as president was both an honor and a huge responsibility and thanked people for supporting him during his five-year presidency.

Komorowski became the Polish president in 2010. Presidential elections will be held on May 10 with a second round, if needed, on May 24. Enditem
