Xinhua, February 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Jordian government on Tuesday confirmed the killing of Jordanian pilot held captive by the Islamic State(IS), according to state-run Petra new agency.

Relatives of Jordanian pilot killed by the Islamic State (IS) condemned his killing, call for revenge.

Several members of the pilot started gathering in Amman after the Islamic State showed a video in which it showed the pilot burnt to death while alive.

Samer Kasasbeh called for revenge and urged Jordan to withdraw from the international coalition fighting the IS.

The pilot was captured last year after his plane crashed in Syria.

Relatives expressed their anger over killing him alive. They said he is a martyr and a national hero. Endit
