French stock market index up 1.09 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.09 percent to close at 4,677.90 points on Tuesday, up 50.23 points.

Investors are encouraged by the fact that Greece would give up making its creditors cancel its debt. Also, oil price is steadily going up. At the end of the business day, the CAC 40 closed higher with 29 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance, while Air Liquide stayed the same as previous trading day.

Tuesday's top three gainers were Societe Generale, up 4.60 percent, ArcelorMittal, up 4.22 percent, and Gemalto, up 3.64 percent.

The companies which lost most on Tuesday were Pernod Ricard, down 2.00 percent, l'Oreal, down 1.24 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.51 percent to close at 4,627.67 points, up 23.42 point
