DPRK vice FM visits Vietnam

Vice Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Kil Song is paying a visit to Vietnam from Thursday to Sunday.
Ri and his Vietnamese counterpart Dang Minh Khoi on Friday co- chaired the fourth annual policy exchange at vice ministerial level in Hanoi in the context of the 65th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
During the event, the two sides discussed measures to implement agreements reached by leaders of the two countries in order to further strengthen bilateral friendship, said an online newspaper of Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Also on Friday, Ri Kil Song met with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai. Hai said during the meeting that Vietnam attaches great importance to its relations with DPRK and hopes to continue strengthening their traditional friendship for mutual benefits.
Hai proposed maintaining delegation exchanges between the two sides at all levels, promoting economic cooperation, facilitating trading activities as well as supervising the implementation of the outcomes of the ninth meeting of the intergovernmental committee.
The DPRK official, for his part, said DPRK always wishes to boost the friendship with Vietnam, especially cooperation in the fields of economy, politics and culture.
Ri Kil Song is on a tour to seven Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia, the official KCNA news agency reported. Endi
