The domination of Russian athletes on 27th Winter Universiade in Strbske Pleso and Osrblie has continued with five medals collected on Tuesday, while the host Slovakia also won first gold in women's biathlon sprint.

The triumph of Russian biathletes was finished by a 1-2-3 finishing in the mens sprint 10 km. Iaroslav Ivanov, Maksim Burtasov and Yuri Shopin took the medals for Russia.

Slovakia's Paulina Fialkova won in the women sprint 7,5 km in biathlon, the second medal after a bronze in the individual race.

"I am very satisfied in every front, although my health is getting worse every day. Cough was reflected in the final round, but I am very happy, that was so perfect. I am very satisfied with my gunfire," added Fialkova.

Irina Avvakumova of Russia the gold medal in women's individual ski jump and her second jump, 95.5 m, was the longest among all the attempts.
