A group of Islamic State (IS) affiliates attacked Libya's biggest hotel in Tripoli on Tuesday, killing at least eight and injuring several others before blowing themselves up, according to local security sources.

The attackers set off a booby-trap car bomb around 10:00 AM local time and then stormed into the Corinthia Hotel. (Libya-Hotel Attack)

NEW DELHI -- Visiting U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday hailed India as a "natural partner," saying that the relationship can be a defining partnership of this century.

"The relationship between the two countries can be one of the defining partnerships of the century. We are one of the few nations who have gone both to the moon and Mars. America has the largest Indian diaspora in the world, they tie us together," President Obama said in an address at the Town Hall. (India-U.S.-Ties)

BRUSSELS -- The next meeting of European Union (EU) foreign ministers should consider appropriate actions, in particular further sanctions, against Russia over the Ukraine crisis, leaders of the bloc said in a statement released Tuesday.

In the statement, EU leaders said they "note evidence of continued and growing support given to the separatists by Russia, which underlines Russia's responsibility." (EU-Russia-Ukraine)

ATHENS -- Greece's new anti-bailout Radical Left SYRIZA-led coalition government line-up was unveiled on Tuesday following Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras' agreement with the Right- wing Independent Greeks (ANEL) party to co-rule the debt-laden country after Sunday's national elections.

Economist Yanis Varoufakis was named as Finance Minister, according to the official announcement made at the Parliament by new State Minister Nikos Pappas who was accompanied by the new government's spokesman Gabriel Sakellaridis. (Greece-Government)

MOSCOW -- Russian government's top priority is to secure internal social stability, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

Speaking at a meeting with the ministers and Central Bank's head, Putin said the anti-crisis plan should ensure acceptable pace of inflation, controllable level of foreign debt and keeping existing reserves. (Russia-Economy-Policy) Endi
