TV series Apocalypse Slough to be partly shot in Malta

Xinhua, January 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Malta Film Commission (MFC) revealed on Tuesday that a TV drama series 'Apocalypse Slough' would be partly shot in Malta.

MFC commissioner Engelbert Grech said, "We are proud to have such a high-concept new dramedy with such a rich and talented cast filming in Malta. I believe that the new cash rebates and the consistent marketing drive that the Malta Film Commission has put together are bearing fruit."

Hollywood actor Rob Lowe is to star in the series alongside Game of Thrones' actor Joel Fry and Paterson Joseph from Peep Show. The 10-part series will also star Jenna Fischer from the American version of The Office, Will and Grace's Megan Mullally, Mathew Baynton from The Wrong Mans, and Birds of a Feather's Pauline Quirke.

The series will be directed by Emmy-nominated Michael Engler and is written by Iain Hollands who is known for his work on Beaver Falls.

Apocalypse Slough will also be shot in the UK and South Africa. Enditem
