Georgia, Lithuania to beef up economic, trade cooperation

Xinhua, January 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Georgia and Lithuania held a business forum here on Tuesday to enhance bilateral relations, with the participation of prime ministers from both countries.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili described the forum as a good opportunity for Lithuanian and Georgian businessmen to exchange ideas on how to strengthen bilateral cooperation and beef up economic and trade relations.

"Georgia and Lithuania have common economic interests," said Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius at the forum, adding that his visit to Tbilisi would give impetus to the Lithuanian business sector.

"The two sides have managed to lay a stable foundation for cooperation, trade and investment," he said, adding that both countries are trying to forge closer relations. Endi
