EU expresses condolences on air accident in Spain

The European Union foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini here on Monday expressed sadness after at least 10 people killed in a Greek fighter jet crash in Spain.

She expressed deep condolences in a statement to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to those injured. And she also expressed condolences to NATO and to the nations of those who died.

At least 10 people were killed and 13 were injured after a Greek F16 jet which was participating in a NATO exercise program crashed on Monday at the airbase of Los Llanos in the central province of Albacete, in Spain, the Spanish Defense Ministry reported. Endit
