Latvia plans to issue new bonds in 2015

Xinhua, January 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Latvia is planning to issue new bonds in international capital markets this year, a spokesman for the Latvian Finance Ministry has said.

"The timing, currency and amount of the bond issue will depend on the market situation," Baltic News Service quoted Finance Ministry spokesman Aleksis Jarockis as saying on Monday.

It has always been Latvia's borrowing policy to prepare timely and issue bonds when the market situation is right, according to Jarockis.

Latvia was considering a new euro-denominated bond but that the timing of any new deal was unclear, according to media reports. Endit
