Tokyo stocks decline by break on Greek concern

Tokyo stocks declined in the morning session on Monday due to rising concerns over the euro zone after an anti-austerity party won the weekend elections in Greece.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped by 108.78 points, or 0.62 percent, from Friday to 17,402.97. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange fell by 7.39 points, or 0.53 percent, to 1,395.83.

The largest drops were recorded in energy, mining and shipping issues. Endi
